Dear CRA Community,

There is no question that COVID-19 and the speed at which it is unfolding is extraordinary.  The safety and well-being of all individuals is our priority and it is important that we continue to band together to support each other in this unprecedented time.

Due to the continued uncertainty the COVID-19 situation presents and in compliance with Governor Baker’s directive, Charles River Aquatics will remain closed at least through April 10.   At that time, we will reassess our temporary closure.

What does this mean for swim lessons and Dragons/Masters Team accounts?

Accounts will be suspended.  No billing will occur until we are open and fully operational. For swim lessons, your day and time for class will be reserved.  Masters swimmers who have paid for April, will receive a one month credit

How does this situation impact camps and clinics?

At this time, we intend to run late April events and we look forward to a busy summer. However, if we cannot operate as planned, a credit will be placed in your account for future use.  We will also be flexible and work directly with our patrons as needed.

CRA continues to monitor and abide by all directives from the CDC and the Boards of Health in towns in which we swim. As pools in Boston reopen we will assess each individually and return when it is safe to do so.

At the BSI in Wellesley, we intend to maintain strict cleaning regimens and follow social distancing protocols, returning to full operation as soon as possible. Research has shown that COVID-19 is much less likely to spread when the air temperature is greater than 65 degrees.  Air temperatures at all pools are consistently 80 degrees or higher. In addition, chlorine and the Ultra Violet filtration system used at the BSI have also been shown to inactivate the virus or greatly reduce its spread. We remain very optimistic!

We are devastated by this closure and the impact it is having on our small business. Charles River Aquatics has a strong and loyal team of employees who, while away from the pool, are working diligently to prepare for the day we welcome you back.

Please join our CRA community for No Pool? No Problem! right here at our website. We present swim tips and land-based fitness ideas to keep you inspired, active and ready to jump back in the water soon.

Until we meet again at the pools, stay strong, positive and healthy.
