CRA COVID-19 Update

May 25, 2020

Dear CRA Friends and Families,

We continue to daily monitor the progression of COVID-19, assess the lifting of restrictions and prioritize planning for a healthy and safe return to swimming.  There is much work to be done as we develop our operational plans and we remain optimistic that we will be back in the water soon.

Pools are permitted to reopen in Phase 2 of Governor Baker’s Reopening Plan, the exact date is still unknown but could be as early as June 8.  Specific guidelines and requirements for a Phase 2 opening are yet to be released by the Governor’s office.  As soon as more information is available, we will share with you details of the new culture of health and safety with which we will operate.  You will hear from us soon!

We will all need to work together.

Please check out No Pool? No Problem! and join us for fun and fitness while we are all stranded on dry land.

The safety of our families, athletes, students and friends is of the utmost importance to us.  Soon we will all walk back on pool deck and splash into the water!  We can’t wait for that day!

Wishing you continued good health!

Dear CRA Friends and Families,

What we are going through right now is unprecedented and we are all working together to keep each other safe, to care for one another, and to remain connected in the midst of so much uneasiness.  In compliance with Governor Baker’s recent directive, Charles River Aquatics will now remain closed at least through May 4.  While we are anxious to welcome everyone back to the pools, we are committed to doing so safely and with great care.  We will keep our CRA community updated as this situation continues to unfold.

We will get through this together.

What does this mean for swim lessons and Dragons/Masters Team accounts?

Accounts will be suspended.  No billing will occur until we are open and fully operational. For swim lessons, your day and time for class will be reserved.

How does this situation impact camps and clinics?

At this time, we look forward to a busy summer. However, if we cannot operate as planned, a credit will be placed in your account for future use.  We will also be flexible and work directly with our patrons as needed.

CRA continues to monitor and abide by all directives from the CDC and the Boards of Health in towns in which we swim. As pools in Boston reopen we will assess each individually and return when it is safe to do so.

At the BSI in Wellesley, we intend to maintain strict cleaning regimens and follow social distancing protocols, returning to full operation as soon as possible. We remain very optimistic!

We are devastated by this closure and the impact it is having on our small business. Charles River Aquatics has a strong and loyal team of employees who, while away from the pool, are working diligently to prepare for the day we welcome you back.

Please check out No Pool? No Problem! and join us for fun and fitness while we are all stranded on dry land.

Have fun, stay healthy and be safe.  Take care of yourself and those around you.

Until we meet again at the pools, stay strong!
