SWIM INSTRUCTOR – PERMANENT PART TIME
Responsibilities
- Adapt your teaching approaches to the age, experience and ability of participants, so they can meet skill objectives.
- Teach with encouragement and positive reinforcement.
- Set up for pool lessons and clean up after lessons are completed.
- Communicate and enforce class and pool rules in a personable and age-appropriate manner.
- Provide consistency in instruction by working each assigned shift.
- Knowledge of swimming strokes and technique.
- Ability to show proficient swimming capability of the four strokes
- Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision.
- Physical ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Excellent organizational, team, and communication skills.

LIFEGUARD
Are you someone who is passionate, motivated, hardworking and loves to keep people safe? Join Charles River Aquatics at the Boston Sports Institute located at 900 Worcester St. Wellesley, MA. Charles River Aquatics is seeking experienced, enthusiastic applicants with CPR, AED, First Aid, and Lifeguard Certifications. The Boston Sports Institute contains two pools; a 13-lane competition pool and smaller lessons pool. Lifeguards have the opportunity to work multiple shifts throughout the entire week. During shift coverage, lifeguards will watch over a plethora of different swim programs. This is a great job opportunity for anyone, age 16 and older, who loves keeping people safe and is passionate about swimming. With experience we are also looking for shift supervisors
Responsibilities:
- Continually maintain safe and effective pool supervision.
- Be on time and prepared for every shift.
- Actively practice preventative lifeguarding strategies at all times while on the pool deck.
- Enforce and follow all pool rules at all times.
- Help different programs set up for practice (includes moving lane lines and flags, putting up signs, and cleaning up the pool deck).
- Assist (without hesitation) any emergency.
- Know and execute the pool’s emergency action plan (EAP).
- Other responsibilities as needed.
Qualification:
- Current CPR/First Aid/AED and Lifeguard certificates.
- 16 years of age or older upon hire.
- Be able to work as a team to maintain patron safety.
- Strong language skills and the ability to think quickly.
This job is part-time and shifts are available every day of the week.

SUMMER CAMP SWIM INSTRUCTOR – SEASONAL
This is an ideal position for anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in education, child care, or coaching. This job provides real life experience working with children of different ages, development and ability levels.

PART-TIME MASTERS TEAM COACHES
Location: Boston Sports Institute, Wellesley MA
Needed Shifts:
M. W. F. 5:30-6:45
M. W. F. 9-10:15 AM
Sun 8-9:30 AM
Coaching Meets: Optional
Administrative Duties: Practice writing and collaboration
Perks: Coach 2 or more workouts per week and swim with CRAM for free
Responsibilities:
- Coach varying levels of Masters swimmers ages 19 and up: triathletes, competitive swimmers, and swimmers who love getting a great workout
- Coach technique and strategy with encouragement and positivity
- Create purposeful workouts for all intervals and abilities
- Provide for consistency in instruction by working each assigned shift
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of swimming strokes and technique
- Experience coaching swimming
- Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision
- Lifeguard/CPR/AED/First Aid preferred
- Physical ability to perform essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Excellent organizational, team, and communication skills
- Minimum age 19 years old
