TEAM PREP
Team Prep requires a tryout - CLICK TO REQUEST A TRYOUT. This program functions as a transition between swim lessons and one of the CRA teams. Participants will progress onto the CRA Rec Swim Team or CRA Dragon Team. Team Prep is for swimmers in Kindergarten through 3rd grade and they will not be registered with USA Swimming or compete in meets with other teams. The primary focus of this program is to introduce them to the excitement of the sport while improving their skills in preparation for a team. Team Prep swimmers will work with our instructional and team staff to master the four competitive strokes, starts, and turns and learn important aspects of a team workout and competition.

- Mondays 6-7pm & Wednesdays 5-6pm OR
- Tuesdays & Thursdays 6:15-7:15pm
Summer Season | July through August
- Mondays & Wednesdays 6:20-7:20pm in the teaching pool OR
- Tuesdays 6:20-7:20pm & Sundays 3:00-4:00pm - in the competition pool!
COST
- Cost $300 per month
ORCAS REC SWIM TEAM
The CRA Rec Swim Team is for youth swimmers age 8+ and offers the team experience without competing against other teams or the commitment of joining a USA Swimming Team. Workouts are structured to fine-tune technique, increase endurance and practice skills for racing.
PREREQUISITES
- Ages 8-17
- This is not a learn-to-swim program. Athletes must be proficient in all 4 competitive strokes and able to swim freestyle 200-500 yards continuously.

The Charles River Aquatics Dragons Swim Team is a year-round, USA Swimming competitive club team for athletes in grades K-12. The team promotes individual education and development, advancing athletes to compete on a national level while building a cohesive team and becoming one of the premier swim clubs in New England, and in the United States. The CRA Dragons are part of a comprehensive swim program with a mission to teach, train, and motivate swimmers to excel at all levels. They are committed to providing a safe and supportive atmosphere that fosters individual growth and achievement while emphasizing cooperation and sportsmanship, educating not just the swimmer, but the whole person.
