STROKE, STARTS & TURNS CLINICS

ADULT STARTS & TURNS CLINICS

Are you an adult swimmer looking to work on your starts and/or turns technique, then this is the clinic for you!

Whether you are getting ready for a meet or just want to be more efficient at practice, we can work on refining your technique in this one hour clinic.

PREREQUISITES:
  • At least 18 years old
  • Familiar with all four competitive strokes
  • Able to dive and flip turn

STARTS & TURNS:  This session aims to develop a powerful dive by engaging the whole body in the start and then maintaining that speed through the opening lap of the race. Turns work is designed to help athletes minimize time on the wall and maximize the push to begin the next lap at a faster pace. Participants will practice timing underwater kicking and breakout strokes from both the start and the turn.

TRIATHLON TRAINING - SWIM/RUN FOCUS

MORE OPTIONS COMING SOON!

Triathlon Training Class – Swim/Run Focus

This one hour high intensity class combines both swim and run workouts.  The first 30 minutes will be a coached swim workout focusing on swim technique, intervals, and endurance. It will be followed by a 30 minute high intensity deep water run workout.  Water running is a great way to develop and improve aerobic fitness and build strength while minimizing joint stress.

This class is taught by Jen Scalise-Marinofsky, CRA Masters head swim coach.  Jen is also an accomplished triathlete competing in the sport for over 30 years and coaching for 17.  She is a perennial USAT All American triathlete and has qualified for the Ironman World Championships in Kona 10 times.
