TOM WALLACE: started swimming competitively at the age of three in CA. In 1976 he competed at the Olympic Trials in the 1500 meter freestyle. Because of his love of the sport, Tom is actively competing for Cambridge Masters Swim Club.
Tom graduated from Humboldt State University in CA with a BS in Resource Planning and a BA in Journalism. After graduating, he became an officer in the US Air Force. When Tom retired, he was named the Aquatics Coordinator of the Lohse Family YMCA in Tucson, AZ. In 2006, Tom moved to MA and became the Aquatics Director at Waltham YMCA, before joining CRA as Aquatics Director in 2007.

JEFF FIORE: Originally from Peabody, MA Jeff swam competitively for North Shore Swim Club since the age of 9 until attending University of Tampa where he was an NCAA Qualifier in the 200 free and 200 IM. He was team captain his senior year and a school record holder. Jeff has taught swim lessons for Greater Tampa Swimming Association. Jeff graduated from the University of Tampa with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.

JACQUELINE POIRIER: A native Medford resident, Jacqui started swimming competitively at the age of 9 for Magnus Aquatic Group. Jacqui swam all four years at Medford High School and was named team captain her senior year. A graduate of Curry College with a B.S. in Biology, Jacqui taught swim lessons for seven years and began work at Charles River Aquatics as an instructor at our Summer Camp. Her passion for teaching was evident and Jacqui came on staff full time in 2014. Outside of swimming, Jacqui enjoys running, music, and spending time with her family and friends.

MATT BANCROFT: Born and raised on Cape Cod, Matt has been swimming since he was very young. A competitive swimmer in high school and captain of his team, he held school records in both 50 and 100 freestyle events before his younger brother bettered his times. Upon graduating from Suffolk University with a BA in English, Matt rode his bike across the United States. In December 2014, Matt completed his transcontinental journey and returned to the Boston area. Matt taught swim lessons at Fair Acres Day Camp in Marstons Mills and at Charles River Aquatics part-time, before joining as a full-time employee in 2015.

CHRISTINA KINNEY: Originally from Connecticut, Christina began swimming as soon as she could walk. The water has always been her passion and she swam competitively through high school. Christina has been a lifeguard and swim instructor since 2006 at YMCA’s, universities, and recreational swim clubs. Christina graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a B.S. in Marine Affairs. In her free time, Christina enjoys ultimate frisbee, running, hiking and music.

CHRIS SCHENCK: Chris grew up in San Diego, CA and Chicago, IL and started swimming competitively at the age of 7. He made the YMCA Nationals team at the age of 13 and in 2004 became the YMCA National record holder in both the 800 and 1500 meter freestyle. Chris was an NCAA Division I athlete at North Carolina State University and Western Kentucky University, focusing on distance freestyle and butterfly events. He received his B.S. degree in Recreation Administration. Chris began teaching lessons early on in his swim career and has coached age group teams in Illinois and Colorado. He moved to Boston to pursue a career in the sport he loves. When he is not at the pool, Chris enjoys outside adventures, volunteering for the Special Olympics, and playing the drums.

ALEX ROSADO: Alex began swimming competitively at the age of 8 for the West Roxbury YMCA Gators. In high school, he swam for the BLA Dragons and captained the team in his junior and senior year. During college, Alex rowed crew and played water polo at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he studied Environmental Sciences and Policy. He taught lessons for the Boston Sports Club in Wellesley before coming to Charles River Aquatics.

CHRIS TOWER: Chris grew up in Norwalk, CT and swam competitively for his local YMCA. After falling away from the water for a bit, he rediscovered his love of aquatics and swimming through his heavy involvement in the Boy Scouts of America. For the past 10 summers, Chris has worked on camp staff at Yawgoog Scout Reservation serving as Waterfront Director for 5 years and Camp Director for the past 3. Before joining Charles River Aquatics, Chris taught swim lessons at the Danvers YMCA. Chris earned his AA from Greenfield Community College and is currently finishing up his BA in Anthropology/Sociology at Roger Williams University.
